Our community partnerships
Our community partnerships
Our commitment to connecting Canada goes beyond building roads and infrastructure. We are proud to take a leading role in fostering local development and supporting causes that strengthen our communities.
We are deeply committed to advancing opportunities for Indigenous communities and promoting the inclusion and advancement of women in construction, recognizing the importance of diversity in driving innovation and growth.
Through initiatives like fundraisers, food drives, sponsorships, partnerships, and skill-building training, we collaborate with local and national organizations to drive meaningful change. Every community project reflects our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve. Together, we’re not just connecting Canada, we’re empowering communities to build a better tomorrow.
Indigineous communities
Indigineous communities
Indigenous peoples - First Nations, Métis and Inuit are critical partners and stakeholders in the operations of many Colas companies in Canada.
Indigenous peoples have strong historic and cultural relationships with their land and a unique knowledge of the natural environment. Many of our operations are located on or near lands traditionally owned by or under the customary use of Indigenous Peoples.
The nature of our operations allows us to establish long-lasting relationships with these Indigenous communities. We are committed to building and growing long-term, mutually beneficial working relationships with Indigenous communities from coast to coast.
Women in construction
Women in construction
While construction is often perceived as a male-dominated field, Colas and our companies in Canada are committed to reshaping that perception. Our initiatives and partnerships aim to welcome women and individuals of diverse backgrounds, fostering a culture where everyone feels valued. Programs like the Women in Colas Network, our diversity and inclusion efforts, and our mentorship programs help us to drive this mission.
As a platinum sponsor of the Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC), Colas Canada proudly supports CAWIC’s programs, providing women at both Colas and within the wider construction industry career growth opportunities through networking, training, and mentorship.
