PROJECT OVERVIEW

Colas Company Involved: Groupe Colas Québec Inc.

Location: Chaudière-Appalaches, QC

Client: Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec (Québec Ministry of Transportation and Sustainable Mobility)

Spanning more than 7 km, this construction project involves building a third lane in the westbound direction within the central median. The work includes the creation of a new 3 km traffic lane using both new and recycled aggregates, along with a two-layer asphalt paving process.

The project also encompasses:

  • the installation of 14 high-mast lighting poles
  • the construction of two detour roads
  • the installation of fibre optic cables through directional drilling
  • lane marking.

Close collaboration between our on-site teams, the St-Jean-Chrysostome quarry, and our quality control department is essential to the project’s success.
